R&B crooner BJ The Chicago Kid released ‘The Opening Ceremony,’ a three-song bundle that debuted ahead of his album that will drop later this year.

The bundle features the soulful melodies and meaningful lyrics that fans expect from BJ The Chicago Kid, reminiscent of his sophomore album ‘In My Mind’ released in 2016. The collection includes the tracks “Going Once, Going Twice,” “Nothing Into Something,” and “Rather Be With You.”

‘In My Mind’ included the singles “Church” featuring Chance The Rapper and Buddy, “Turnin’ Me Up,’ and “The New Cupid” featuring Kendrick Lamar. The R&B singer was also nominated for three Grammys in 2017 for “Best R&B Performance,” “Best Traditional R&B Performance,” and “Best R&B Album.”

BJ The Chicago Kid will hit the road with R&B singer Ro James this May for the ‘R&B Tour,’ stopping in cities including Atlanta, Chicago, New York City, and Los Angeles. The duo teamed up to release a cover Jodeci’s 1991 R&B hit “Come and Talk to Me” to celebrate the announcement of the tour.
