Chaz French hasn’t stopped grinding since the release of his debut album ‘True Colors,’ and he keeps going with the premiere of the video for his single “Hol’ Up” featuring fellow DMV rapper Shy Glizzy. The psychedelic visual takes us on a trippy tour of French’s hometown of Washington, D.C., in hues of pink and lilac. He does everything from playing video games in his hotel suite to shopping with “Chaz French money,” all while surrounded by beautiful women.
Earlier this season, French partnered with record-producing app RecordGram to run a sweepstakes for artists to rap over the “Hol’ Up” beat and make a video in the app for $1,000.
The D.C. native joined Motown in 2017, subsequently releasing his first single with the label “Way Out,” and then “Pops” later in the year. Another track on the album, “Squad,” will also appear on Madden NFL 18.
