Ross, dressed in Alexander McQueen and Tom Ford, sported a crushed red velvet blazer and sleek printed pants.
Badu, who hosted the awards show for the third consecutive year, walked the carpet in a stunning white and gold ensemble adorned with a prism-shaped hat.
Ross was nominated for “Best New Artist” this year, and expressed his gratitude for the nomination in an interview with Motown.
Kevin Ross released his debut album ‘The Awakening’ earlier this year, with the singles “Long Song Away,” “Be Great” featuring label mate Chaz French, and “Don’t Go.” He released his EP ‘Drive’ in the fall, featuring a remake of the OutKast ballad “Prototype.”
Erykah Badu has been signed to Motown since 2000, with the release of her sophomore album ‘Mama’s Gun’ and has since released ‘Worldwide Underground,’ ‘New Amerykah Part 1 (4th World War),’ ‘New Amerykah Part 2 (Return of the Ankh),’ and the mixtape ‘But You Cain’t Use My Phone.’
