Migos has proven themselves as one of the hottest rap groups this year –from performing on numerous festival and awards show stages to being thanked by actor Donald Glover at the Golden Globe Awards. With many of their own hits and numerous features under their belts, Migos has become an unshakeable force in hip-hop and has moved the culture into a new generation of trendsetters.

Perhaps one of their most iconic moves this year, the rap super group has been featured on the cover of XXL magazine for their 20th anniversary issue. Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff sat down with XXL to share what the magazine meant to them growing up, how East Coast rappers have influenced them, and how they believe they will impact the culture for twenty more years.

The jewelry laden trio has much to celebrate along with this cover after the meteoric year they’ve had since the release of their debut album Culture, which dropped in the beginning of 2017.

Migos, hailing from North Atlanta, joined Motown as a joint venture with Atlanta-based label Quality Control Music. They were featured on the track “Too Hotty,” which will be released on the Quality Control soundtrack.

XXL Magazine is a publication that has been covering hip-hop and culture since 1997.
