The Stranger Things Cast Recreates Motown Classics with James Corden

By Tristin Marshall

Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, and Noah Schnapp from Stranger Things and James Corden recreated a Motown-era boy band and performed classic Motown hits live on the Late Late Show with James Corden

Known as the Upside Downers–after the horrifying alternate dimension in the series–the cast members joined Corden for a sketch about their “life before Stranger Things,” which tells the hilarious fictional story of them performing in a boy band together before they got the casted in the Netflix series. The group performed covers of some of Motown’s greatest hits, including The Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back,” The Temptations “My Girl,” and the Four Tops “Reach Out, I’ll Be There.”

The Late Late Show with James Corden is a late night talk show on CBS, and has featured guests including Stevie Wonder and Lionel Richie.

Stranger Things became a mega hit on Netflix in 2016, and returned with season 2 of the series this fall.
