Motown kicked off Grammy’s week with a bang at its New Faces of Motown Showcase at the Peppermint Club in West Hollywood. The label hosted an intimate show for industry tastemakers featuring its developing acts Jordan Hollywood, JAMESDAVIS, Njomza, and Yung Miami of City Girls. Hosted by President Ethiopia Habtemariam and VP of A&R Lindsey Lanier, the night was full of brand new music, crowd favorites and even some Motown classics.
The event also served as part of an ongoing celebration of Motown’s 60th anniversary year. This year has already been filled with many pop up activations calling out Motown’s excellence in shaping culture through music and “setting the agenda” with more to come.
Stay tuned for a Motown tribute at the 2019 Grammys and “Motown 60: A Grammy Celebration” set to air on April 21, 2019, on the CBS Television Network.
