UK rapper, singer, and songwriter Stefflon Don has been nominated for three 2017 MOBO Awards, including “Best Female,” “Best Newcomer,” and “Best Hip Hop Act.”
Her latest single “Hurtin’ Me” featuring French Montana has gone #1 on the UK Shazam chart and has been in heavy rotation on UK radio stations.
Stefflon Don signed to Quality Control Music/Motown in 2017 and has since collaborated with label mate Lil Yachty on the single “Better.” She has also received attention for a recent freestyle on the Sirius XM radio station Shade 45 with DJ Whoo Kid.
The MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Awards first aired in 1996 in the United Kingdom and was established to recognize and celebrate artists who create Black or urban music. The ceremony will also include awards for “Best Grime Act,” “Best International Act,” and “Best African Act,” and performances from artists including Stefflon Don.
